Study Corruption Research with the ICRN!
Thanks to a joint initiative of the Anti-Corruption Research and Education Centre (ACREC) at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and the ICRN you are now able to study the basics of corruption research from your computer at home! ICRN members Oksana Huss and Niklas Kossow developed a Massive Open Online Course for the Ukrainian Prometheus Platform. The course is titled “Corruption research: How does it work?” and covers definitions and basic research approaches to the study of corruption and anti-corruption. It put together a great set of academics and practitioners teaching you corruption measurement, qualitative and quantitative methods, research design and how to develop evidence-based policies based on state-of-the-art research. Besides Oksana and Niklas, it also features lectures by Ilona Wysmulek, Marina Povitkina and Yaroslav Yurchishin, as well as a lecture by Prof. Alina Mungiu-Pippidi.
The course was developed by ACREC and ICRN in partnership with the International Renaissance Foundation, the Open Society for Europe Initiative and the Swedish Embassy in Ukraine. It is available for free via Prometheus with one small caveat: lectures and course materials are in Ukrainian. But, do not despair: the lectures by Alina Mungiu-Pippidi and Niklas Kossow were recorded and can be viewed in English.
